CLARK, Brenda

Ph.D. candidate, BA (Gettysburg College)
Language documentation, Andean languages, animal (cetacean) communication, sign languages, phonology and morphonology

My primary interest is spoken and signed language documentation and preservation. I also intend to expand this area by studying and documenting the complex communication systems of cetaceans, both for my own scientific curiosity and with the hope that drawing parallels between these and human languages will help conservation efforts. I am currently working with the phonology and morphology of Aymaran Languages, and I look forward to doing fieldwork in Central and South America, or at sea.
